The Best Starter Kit for Propagation Season
Share
Propagation is one of the most satisfying parts of plant care. But getting your cuttings to root well takes more than water in a glass.
Here is the starter combo we recommend for reliable, healthy growth.
1. Rooting Gel
Use a clean Q-tip to apply Clonex Rooting Gel directly to the cut end. It helps seal the wound and encourages root cells to form. Avoid dipping your cutting straight into the jar to keep it clean.
2. RootZone
After planting your cutting, water it with a diluted dose of Root Zone. This supports early root development and helps avoid transplant shock later.
3. GT Foliar
While roots are forming, your cutting absorbs nutrients through its leaves. A weekly mist of GT Foliar keeps it strong during this transition.
4. LECA or Lechuza Pon
For cleaner results, root in LECA or Lechuza Pon. They allow more oxygen and are easier to monitor for root growth.

If your friend keeps trying to root plants in cold tap water, help them upgrade. Their plants (and countertops) will look better for it.
