Why Leaves Turn Yellow and How to Fix It

Yellow leaves are your plant’s way of asking for help. Here’s how to listen - and what to do next.

1. Too Much Water
Check the soil. If it’s soggy or smells musty, your roots might be rotting. Let it dry out and consider switching to a faster-draining mix like aroid mix or LECA.

2. Nutrient Deficiency
If yellowing starts at the bottom and spreads upward, it might be a nitrogen issue. Pale new growth? That could be iron or magnesium.

Use a complete, balanced fertilizer like Foliage Focus or GT Foliar to restore essential nutrients.

3. Lack of Light
If your plant is sitting in a dark corner, try moving it closer to a window or adding a grow light. Yellow leaves and leggy growth often go hand-in-hand.

4. Natural Aging
Older leaves do yellow over time. If it's just one or two at the bottom, and new growth looks healthy, don’t panic.

Prune, feed, and adjust - your plant will bounce back.
